Bulldog Spirit Driving School, was the long time ambition of  Britain’s most successful disabled Motor Sport competitor,

Gareth Almond.

After a near fatal motorcycle accident in the early 70’s  which resulted in a right arm  amputation  he was forced to retire from the police. Determined not to let this set him back he followed his great love of driving, into motor sport.

Over the last 27 years he has won just under 300 Club and National events, including several British Championships.

Wanting to inspire others, he trained as a driving instructor specifically to teach the disabled. He is Mavis Emergency Control and Queen Elizabeth Foundation for Mobility certified and registered. In addition to this he’s a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, a RoSPA Gold Award Grade 6 Advanced Driver, and qualified DIAmond Advanced and Special Test Driver.  Put this together with his police training and over 30 years driving experience, establishing “Bulldog Spirit Driving School” seemed a natural progression for him.

What better way can there be to learn, than from someone who has already been there!
